Students will meet in the library to research reliable sources for the Persuasive Speech. Students must commit to a topic by the end of class today. (or tomorrow for B Day)
Students will learn about building a persuasive argument, will choose a topic, and begin researching for the Persuasive Speech. PowerPoint and Assignment posted below.
Students will rehearse their Informative Speeches, using the Outline and partner critique. We will also use class time to create note cards. Speeches begin Wednesday or Thursday, October 21-22.
Students will spend two class periods in the library, conducting research for the Informative Speech. Students must use at least two sources found through the library databases.
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday class will focus on structuring your Informative Speech. proper speech outlines, and choosing your Informative topic. We will also watch some speech examples. You need to decide on a speech topic by Friday (A Day) or Monday (B Day). The topic must be something that can be researched at school, with network filters in place.
